About me
My name is Amaya Bellfield. I am a junior at Longmont High School in Longmont, Colorado. I have been riding since I was 6. Riding has always been a part of my life ever since I started. Since I was young I would be at the barn all the time, I always wanted to be around these amazing creatures and learn more and more. I feel like I can always learn new things and expand my knowledge in and out of the saddle. The equestrian community has shaped me into the young woman I am today. I’ve been taught ever since I sat in a saddle, that horsemanship and horses come first over anything. When I first started riding in the first month I went through 4 trainers and finally found the one that she’s brought me from outreach crossrails to the Big Eq. Since I was young I knew I wanted to ride in college and compete at a D1 level. Riding teams in college is more than just the horse and rider, it's about the team and I admire that because we don’t get to do that much when we grow up as riders. In school I am a very social person and enjoy getting to do things that I normally wouldn’t. I love meeting new people and expanding my relationships. I have a 3.8 GPA and I am in Honors and AP classes. I’m very excited to start my journey to ride in college and showcase my talent for coaches and judges.
